By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

prepare.fyi is an AI-powered interview preparation platform that provides:

AI-generated interview questions tailored to specific companies and roles
Voice-based practice sessions with speech-to-text transcription
AI-powered feedback and analysis on your interview responses
Progress tracking and performance analytics

The Service is intended to help users prepare for job interviews and should not be considered a guarantee of interview success or employment.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information
Maintain and promptly update your account information
Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the Service.

4. Subscription Plans and Payment

4.1 Free Tier

Our free tier includes limited access to the Service with restrictions on the number of projects and practice sessions. Free tier limitations may be modified at any time.

4.2 Monthly Pro Subscription

The Monthly Pro subscription provides unlimited access to our features for a recurring monthly fee. By subscribing, you agree to:

Pay the subscription fee as displayed at the time of purchase
Automatic renewal at the end of each billing period until cancelled
Provide a valid payment method for recurring charges

4.3 Billing and Cancellation

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly basis
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or Stripe Customer Portal
Upon cancellation, you will retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period
No refunds will be provided for partial billing periods
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
Upload, share, or transmit content that is harmful, offensive, defamatory, or infringes on others' rights
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
Use automated systems, bots, or scraping tools to access the Service
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
Share your account credentials with others or allow others to use your account
Use the Service to develop competing products or services
Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service

6. User Content

"User Content" includes any content you submit to the Service, such as resume information, job descriptions, voice recordings, and practice session data.

You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use, process, and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You represent and warrant that you have the right to submit your User Content and that it does not violate any third party's rights.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by prepare.fyi and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of that software.

8. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Our Service uses artificial intelligence to generate interview questions and provide feedback. Please be aware that:

AI-generated content may not always be accurate or applicable to your specific situation
Interview questions may not reflect actual questions asked by specific companies
Feedback is provided for educational purposes and should not be considered professional career advice
We do not guarantee that using our Service will result in interview success or employment

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PREPARE.FYI AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Any loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
Any damages resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service
Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid us, if any, during the six (6) months prior to the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless prepare.fyi and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

12. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time with or without notice. We reserve the right to perform maintenance that may temporarily affect Service availability.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Service or delete your account through your account settings.
